PM VIKAS Scheme is an integrated approach to support minority artisans through skill development, entrepreneurship, and education, while also preserving and enriching the heritage of Indian arts and crafts. The scheme is structured to provide comprehensive support to artisans, promoting sustainable livelihoods and cultural identity Skilling and Training
• Traditional Training sub-component: Provide need-based courses for minority artisan communities engaged in traditional arts and crafts.
• Non-traditional Skilling sub-component: Impart skill training in NSQF compliant job roles establish employment linkages.
• Promote leadership development and basic entrepreneurship among minority community’s women.
• For Women Leadership & Entrepreneurship Component, 50% of the total women beneficiaries trained shall be selected for intensive entrepreneurship training; 10% of which shall be selected for a program on ‘Biz Sakhis’/ Business Mentors.
• Handhold women trained in leadership and entrepreneurship to become Business Mentors ('Biz Sakhis') and promote the establishment of enterprises. • Provide education bridge programs to school dropouts from minority and artisan communities for certification through NIOS or approved institutions.
